Hi, my name is Alex.

Hi, my name is Alex. I'm a wife to my high school sweetheart, a mom to our smart and beautiful 13-year-old daughter, and a teacher to 5th graders here in Duuuval. I've been a Jags fan since '95, which means I know a thing or two about showing up with your whole heart even when it's hard.

Teaching is simultaneously one of the best and hardest things I've done with my life. Working with kids every day has made me deeply aware of how fast these seasons go and how much the in-between moments deserve to be held onto.

My love for photography comes straight from my roots. My mom and grandfather were both photographers, and somewhere along the way their way of seeing the world became mine too. I've always been drawn back to people. To the real, unscripted moments between families, the way a kid laughs when they forget a camera is there, the quiet connection between two people who have built a life together.

When I'm not behind the lens or wrangling fifth graders, you can find me paddleboarding on local waterways, tending to my school backyard flock of chickens, traveling, or getting lost in a good book. I'm an introvert who genuinely loves people. Which, it turns out, makes for a pretty good photographer.
